Props Release Sneaky Peaky n#1

Hey! Did you know that at the end of next month I am having a HUGE 'Stuff for Boys' crochet props release? Yep! I have been working very hard on creating a large range of stock and am just so so so SO SO SO SO SO SO super dooper excited for opening night! Now, to keep things on the sneaky sneaky and as to not give too much away I'm not going to tell you what the release will include *wink wink* ...you'll have to be there on the night... BUT I've decided that what I WILL do is every so often give you a little look at what I've been working on to get you as excited as I am ;-) Sound good? You know why? Because I'm insanely impatient and can't possibly be expected to keep all these cute things to myself for such a long time.

Without further ado, here is Sneaky Peaky n#1!
I might choose to show you the whole set, part of a set, just a little glimpse of something, perhaps even just a colour... you just never know! Stay tuned and see what happens!

Did I mention I'm FLIPPING excited!?!?!?!

See you next time!

Thankful Thursday

Today I am simply thankful for my husband, because even though he'd been at work for 20 odd hours he still bought me home a coffee and a box of chocolates on his way back. Did I get lucky in the husband department or what? ;)

HAPPY MAIL! And a few sneak peaks

This morning I received a nice big European package delivered right to my front door! British even! *wink wink* No, not THAT kind of package you dirty person, this kind....

Arguably it's the better kind of the two. Yes, I am THAT pathetic.

I absolutely adore this brand of yarn... it's a touch more expensive than the local kind you find at Spotties but the quality is by far better. So soft and it comes in such delicious colours! I don't have plans for it just yet, much too busy with orders to think about 'free time' crochet at the moment, so I'll just add it to my stash hehehehe I would say I could save it for a rainy day but that won't be for another 6 months ;)

Nice right? And it's alllllll mine *cuddles yarn with huge anime eyes of adoration* I have a few sneak peaks ready of my current four WIP's for you too... Nicola, Haylee, Ashlee and Erin, these are your orders in progress :-) All are on schedule! If you don't see yours here have no fear, once I complete this fortnight's list I'll begin work on the next lot. That means Nicola. C your booties, Kristy your hat, Bec your 'surprise' gift, and Tanya your giraffe and snuggle blanket.

As you can see I have oodles of work to do so I'd best get back to it!
Yarn-love to all!

Get crafty with it!

Check out my afternoon's crafty creations! A jar that I painted for my hooks and a really neat dry erase frame to keep me nice and organised. I have had the idea for the frame pinned on Pinterest for a while now and finally decided to buy a cheapy $4 frame and spunk it up! It was so quick and simple, based on this project that uses paint chips, I used some scrapbook paper because I was too lazy to go to Bunnings. Added a bit of washi tape and voila! The jar is just an empty baby food jar that has had a bit of tape put around the middle, then three layers of paint, allow to dry, remove the tape and the ribbon added. Simple and sweet!

Lots of work for THIS hooker! *wink wink*

Phew! I have such a huge week ahead of me! 5 more orders to make a start on (lots of delicious colour selections too, good choices guys), I have a couple of scarves I've been working on of a night to donate down to Albury for uni students, and I'm in the process of planning a big newborn photography prop release with plenty of BOYS things which I'm hoping to have happen in the next couple of months. I popped into Spotties today whilst waiting for the Mindil Beach Markets to start and walked out with quite a large bag of yummy wool which I have tremendous visions of turning into pants and bonnets and leg warmers, oh my! As completely swamped as I am with oodles of orders, I just can't help wanting to start this and that as well. It's awful, I really am a total addict. Too bad there isn't a Yarn-a-holics Anonymous... not that I'd go. This is one addiction I will NEVER give up and nor do I want to.

To those who have orders placed with me, you don't need to worry! Your requests are certainly number one! I think I might have CADD (Crochet Attention Deficit Disorder) hehe

I'd best be catching some Zzzzzzz's :-)

Nighty night fabulous people!

Happy Mother's Day

May you all have an absolutely beautiful Mother's Day and a relaxing Sunday whatever it is you may be doing. I hope all you lovely mums are getting spoilt today! I certainly was! A bunch of flowers, chocolate and bacon and eggs were bought to me in bed this morning from my husband and son. I am blessed to have such a loving family Xx

He'll be hopping on a plane and flying to his new home in New Zealand! He was SUCH a fun project, and I think he is just the cutest darn thing! I kinda wanna keep him :p

Hello dry season...

I've heard so much about you!
Up here in Darwin, apparently the beginning of the dry season is heralded by hundreds of dragonflies buzzing about. A month ago I noticed a couple around in my yard, I don't think I was quite prepared for just how many there would eventually be! Hubby, bubby and I drove to Mindil Beach to catch a famous sunset (which happens over the sea! certainly not anything I've ever seen before having come from NSW!) and there were literally just dragonflies everywhere. Honestly it was such an awesome sight.
I took plenty of photos as the sun went down over the shimmering crocodile infested sea, but those I'll save for another day.

So many dragonflies inspired me to do some dragonfly themed crochet, you'll have to wait and see what I do!

Happy Hippos!
